Wavemaker meters usage in credits. Plans include a monthly credit allowance. Packs top you up. Current plan prices are on wavemaker.io/pricing.
Reserve, then settle
Generation cost depends on what actually gets produced, so billing is two-phase.
Reserve. When a run starts, credits are held as an upper bound.
Settle. When the run finishes, the hold settles to the actual cost. Unused reserve is released back.
What that means for you:
If the run fails on our side and settles, you are not charged for it.
If you cancel, you pay only for what was already produced.
The reserve is the ceiling. If a later step cannot be paid, the group pauses instead of running unpaid.
Planning and brief tools (Enhance, Surprise me, Catalog Guide) do not take a generation hold.
What costs credits
Finished generations cost credits: video, images, audio, assemble, and scoped edits (redo, animate, extend, edit). Each generation's actual cost is visible in Account usage.
Plans and packs
Free: starter credits and library storage.
Paid plans: monthly credit allowances, more library space, and API keys.
Purchased credit packs never expire.
Unused monthly plan credits roll forward at renewal by your plan's rollover percentage. The remainder expires. See the live table on the pricing page.
Credits do not auto-refill. You cannot run generations on your own provider keys. All runs use Wavemaker-metered capacity.
Team billing
Credits belong to your organization. Every member draws from the shared balance. Admins see per-member usage.
Seats are purchased at checkout, up to your plan's seat maximum. Org admins can set a per-member monthly credit cap. A member over their cap cannot submit until an admin raises the cap. The org balance is untouched.
