Adwave simplifies the process of creating digital video ads by leveraging your existing website content and AI. The general workflow for creating a new ad campaign involves several stages. In this section, we cover the first stage: initiating a new ad Creative (the ad content) by providing your website URL. Subsequent sections cover customization, targeting, and payment.

1. Start a New Ad

To create a new campaign, look for a "Create Ad" or "New Campaign" button on your dashboard or the Adwave homepage. If you are not logged in, Adwave's public homepage may allow you to begin the ad creation process directly by entering your website URL. If you are logged in, ensure you have selected the correct account (personal or team) in which to create the campaign.

2. Enter Your Website URL

You will be prompted to enter the URL of the website or page you want to advertise. This should be the site that contains information about your business, product, or whatever you're advertising. Once you provide the URL, click the button to Generate Ad (for example, a button might say "Generate My Ad" or "Continue"). Adwave will validate the URL and begin fetching content from that site. (Ensure the URL is correct and publicly accessible. Include http:// or https:// as needed – Adwave will normalize the URL format.)

3. Automated Content Analysis

After submitting your URL, Adwave's backend will scrape your website to gather images, text, and other content. It then uses artificial intelligence to generate a video advertisement tailored to your site. This involves selecting a template, picking relevant text (such as slogans or product info from your site), images or graphics, and even creating a narration voice-over, all automatically. You do not have to supply anything else at this stage – the system does the heavy lifting. This process may take a minute or two while the AI works.

4. Generation in Progress

While your ad is being generated, you might see a progress indicator or messages like "Analyzing site content..." or "Generating your video...". Adwave goes through multiple steps behind the scenes (fetching the site, processing content, choosing design elements, generating media, etc.). You may see a spinner or loading bar during this time. If the process succeeds, it will move you to the next step automatically – the Preview/Customize stage. If there is an issue (for example, if the site couldn't be reached or the AI failed to generate content), Adwave will display an error (see Troubleshooting for how to handle generation errors).

5. Creative Saved

As the system generates the ad, a new Creative entry is created in your account to hold this draft ad. If you started the process while not logged in, the creative is temporarily stored and will be associated with your account when you sign up/log in (so you won't lose your work). If you started while logged in, the creative is immediately tied to your current account. You don't need to manually save anything at this point – everything is automatically saved as it's generated.

Once the creative generation is complete (reaching the "ready for preview" stage), you will be taken to the Customize step where you can preview the ad and make adjustments.
